Types of massage.

Massage is a good way to maintain a healthy lifestyle.I provide quality therapeutic massage in a safe and comfortable environment and treat a variety of conditions. I believe communication is key to a successful treatment and at the end of every session will discuss exercises, strengthening and any other home care tips to help manage your needs.

Myofascial Cupping

The process of suction to release the fascial tissue that lays just below the skin’s surface. Fascia is a band of connective tissue beneath the skin that attaches, stabilizes and separates muscles. By releasing the fascia, it helps to relax the surrounding muscles underneath. It is primarily used on areas such as the back, legs, upper arms, posterior neck and abdomen. Myofascial restrictions can be manipulated to relieve pain and restore range of motion.

Prenatal Massage

A therapeutic treatment to help expecting mothers as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. Not only is massage relaxing, it also possesses many benefits such as decreasing sciatic pain, muscle tension, swelling in feet and ankles, fatigue and improving sleep patterns. A Prenatal Bolster that is used ensures comfort for laying on your stomach for all stages of pregnancy. Caution is used during the first trimester.

Deep Tissue Massage

A type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia. This more focused type of massage is used to help release muscle knots or tension, ease joint pain, increase range of motion, decrease stress and improve flexibility. It also works to promote circulation which in turn helps with the healing process of chronic pain.
